Objectives: The idea while working for this site is to guide others towards expanding the reach of Windows operating system. Guidelines that I provide here will make easier for you to write programs. My main emphasis here is to make my work independent of the differences between the hardware provided by the third parties.
I my self at UET had been involved in development of such applications and what I here offer is some of my experiences that I got during my final year project. What I say here is not the last word. You can get a lot from it and still can add much to it by providing me your experiences and suggestions.
What you will learn about are three most exciting programming services available on the Microsoft Windows Platform naming "Messaging API (MAPI)", "Speech API (SAPI)", and "Telephony API (TAPI)". Each of these programming services provide us a specialized services. The addition of these services to the basic operating system is not only a bone to programmers, it will also be of great interest to users too. Computers that can handle messages and telephones, and that can understand and generate simple speech, are computers that, ultimately, are easier to use. Learning how we add these vital features to our applications will sure give our software a great reach and appeal that can make a real difference to our target audience. |
